Day 1
Arrival in Istanbul. Meeting at the international arrivals hall. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2
Meeting with the guide at the hotel reception at 09:30 to visit the most important sites of Istanbul. Everything can be done on foot: Hippodrome Square (Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpent Column, German Fountain, Column of Constantine), Topkapi Palace built in the 15th century where the first sultans of the empire lived, Sultan Ahmed Mosque known as the Blue Mosque for its beautiful tiles, the great Hagia Sophia Mosque which reflects the history of Byzantines, Romans and Ottomans, and the Grand Bazaar with its impressive displays of local handicrafts and souvenirs. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3
Meeting with the guide at the hotel reception at 09:00. After a 15-minute walk we arrive at the Spice Bazaar. Bosphorus cruise separating Europe and Asia with views of palaces, neighborhoods and bridges connecting the continents. Visit Beylerbeyi Palace, Camlica Hill and the magnificent Suleymaniye Mosque on the Asian side. The Bosphorus tour (1h–1h30) is optional. Afterwards flight to Cappadocia.
Day 4
Optional hot air balloon flight (05:00–08:00). Meeting with the guide at the hotel reception at 09:30. Visit Devrent Valley where rock formations resemble different animals. Continue to Pasabag (Fairy Chimneys Valley). Walk through Avanos, famous for pottery. Then visit Cavusin village known for its cave houses. At the end of the tour visit the Göreme Open Air Museum where rock-cut churches can be seen. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 5
Meeting with the guide at the hotel reception at 09:30. Visit the underground city (Ozkonak or another similar one such as Kaymakli) where early Christians hid from their enemies. The viewpoint of Göreme offers one of the best views of Cappadocia. We will see the panorama of Uchisar Fortress where camels can be seen. Afterwards visit a local carpet workshop where carpets are woven by hand. We will see the Rose Valley and discover volcanic stones used to create various objects and jewelry. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 6
Flight to Izmir (approx. 1 hour 10 minutes). Visit the House of the Virgin Mary and then the Greco-Roman city of Ephesus. We will also visit a leather shop where leather jackets are produced. Overnight in Kusadasi. There will be time to walk to the city harbor and explore the center.
Day 7
Meeting with the guide at the hotel reception at 08:00. Drive about 3 hours to Pamukkale. Walk through the travertine terraces and the ancient city of Hierapolis. Pamukkale’s thermal terraces are one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. The name Pamukkale means “Cotton Castle”, referring to the beauty of its white and turquoise colors. Overnight in a thermal hotel in Pamukkale.
Day 8
Transfer to Denizli Airport to take the flight to Istanbul. Free day. End of services.
