This 2-day tour to Ephesus and Pamukkale offers a unique opportunity to discover two of the most impressive destinations in Turkey in a single journey. The meeting point is at hotels in Kusadasi or Izmir Airport, where an unforgettable cultural and historical experience begins.

During the tour you will visit Ephesus, one of the best preserved ancient cities in the world. Here you will admire iconic monuments such as the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre, the Temple of Hadrian and the ancient Roman streets. The tour also includes a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary, an important spiritual site recognized by the Vatican.

On the second day the journey continues to Pamukkale, known as the “Cotton Castle”, famous for its white travertine terraces and natural thermal waters. You will also visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, where you can explore its Roman theatre, historical ruins and famous thermal pools.

The tour ends at hotels in Kusadasi or the airports of Denizli or Izmir, depending on the traveler’s preference.

First Day

Meeting with the guide at the hotel reception at 09:30. Tour of Ephesus, considered one of the most spectacular open-air museums in Turkey and the world. Among its ruins you will visit the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountains of Trajan and Polio, the Temples of Hadrian and Domitian, Roman baths, the Bouleuterion and the Great Theatre with a capacity of 30,000 spectators. Continue to the House of the Virgin Mary. The Vatican has recognized this small house as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary. After visiting a local handicraft center, continue to the Basilica of St. John built by Emperor Justinian over the tomb of St. John the Apostle in the 1st century and the Temple of Artemis (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World). At the end of the tour visit a local leather center. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Second Day

Meeting with the guide at the hotel reception at 08:30. Drive to Pamukkale (about 3 hours). Explore the travertine terraces and the ancient city of Hierapolis. The thermal terraces of Pamukkale are one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. The word Pamukkale means “Cotton Castle”, inspired by its beautiful white and turquoise colors. During the excursion you will have the opportunity to swim in the Ancient Roman Pool of Cleopatra (optional – bring a swimsuit). At the end of the day transfer to the hotel/cruise. End of services.
